local Government PBT Issues

-Kelly Moran (TDC Environmental) will provide some background on PBTs--What are they? What chemicals might be the next PBTs? Which ones are amenable to P2? How do local governments pick PBT P2 projects?

John Katz (USEPA) will review the best of the many resources available to support local PBT efforts.

Betsy Elzufon (Larry Walker Associates) will present some examples of local government PBT P2--the dioxins pollution prevention demonstration projects being conducted by the Bay Area Dioxins Project.

Kelly D. Moran
Kelly D. Moran is President of TDC Environmental, an environmental consulting firm specializing in water quality and pollution prevention. She has more than 14 years of experience as an environmental professional. For six years, she managed the award-winning water pollution prevention program at the Palo Alto Regional Water Quality Control Plant. Currently, she chairs both the City of San Mateo's Public Works Commission and the California State Pollution Prevention Advisory Committee. She completed her doctorate in Chemistry at U. C. Berkeley and her Bachelor of Science at Stanford University.
